Building Relationships in the local community through Sport
For a second year running, Composite Profiles is demonstrating its core value of Building Relationships through its Youth Sponsorship and Community Partnership of Bournemouth Rugby Football Club; helping the club achieve their mission to become the regional hub of rugby – placing performance, development and the community at the heart of the game.
The summer of 2017 marked 25 years since the beginning of Composite Profiles and they felt it fitting to celebrate their 25 years by supporting another celebratory milestone – 125 years of Bournemouth Rugby Club!
Following the Composite Profiles’ brand ethos of Building Excellence, both internally and externally, and executing it through their five strategic brand values: Building Relationships, Building Team Spirit, Building Knowledge, Building Trust, and of course Building the Future, their relationship with Bournemouth Rugby Club has gone from strength to strength and is a tangible display of how core values can weave together to benefit a local community.
Mark Norton, MD of Composite Profiles, puts his business strategy to be at the heart of the community into his own words:
“It is important to us to support projects that connect with our brand and company culture. I liked the connection between the skills and attitude required in rugby to win on the pitch, and how my team at work can achieve both personal and professional success. A winning team needs to build relationships, it needs team spirit, superior knowledge of the game, and trust to drive success into the future. I like the sound of that on and off the pitch.”
James Croker, CEO of Bournemouth Rugby Club, adds:
“It’s great having Mark and his team at Composite Profiles on board for a second year running. Mark epitomises how a small seed can grow into something that has a much bigger impact. Mark originally started as a business sponsor, but I am glad to say his role has evolved into a full-blown supporter of the club! His face is a regular fixture at most home matches and even travelling to a few away matches with his son, who now plays in the under 8s squad. Our players, who voluntary commit so much of their time to the club and sport, really notice when a sponsor supports them at away matches, it really means a lot to them. Mark is definitely a pioneer sponsor in respect of committing so much time to support the team.”
In February 2018, Composite Profiles also supported the community initiative the Fairplay Schools Rugby Festival, a Dorset Schools Tag Tournament held in partnership with Rippa Rugby and Bournemouth Rugby Club. The tournament’s guiding principles of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship fully resonated with the culture and values Mark uses to guide the Composite Profiles business. More than 300 children from across Dorset competed and every child was presented with a Fairplay medal provided by Composite Profiles.
The partnership between Composite Profiles and sporting community ventures looks set to continue winning ground.
