Working with the Community

Our relationships in action

We are rooted in the community with our head office team living in the local area, and our site teams travelling and working remotely from their home hubs. We work hard to ensure our teams are well supported whilst at work and beyond.

Whilst we are passionate about what we do at work, there’s more important things than metal decking such as people’s home lives, health and wellbeing, children’s nativity plays, sports days, religious festivals and anniversaries to name a few.

We align our community work, charitable donations and sponsorship support against our overarching vision of Building Excellence and our five core values.

We have a team of individuals who create the company’s culture. When you meet any employee of Composite Profiles you know that it’s a good place to work. They are intelligent, motivated, passionate and honest.

20 meaningful miles

20 Meaningful Miles:

To mark the beginning of Composite Profiles’ 25-year celebrations, Sue Jones and Helen Clayton joined forces to plan, organise and embark on a 20-mile walk. Whilst supporting each other all the way, Sue and Helen were fundraising for two personally meaningful causes: Forest Holme, a hospice in Poole; and for Chloe, an 18-month-old little girl who has a unique chromosomal abnormality. This was a true representation of our core company value, ‘Building Team Spirit’ in action.

The guiding principles of the tournament of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship fully resonated with the culture and values we use to guide our business. More than 300 children from across the county competed with our MD Mark Norton in attendance, every competitor was presented with a medallion provided by Composite Profiles.

School Governors

School Governor:

Mark Norton became a Governor of a local infant school in 2014 following a request for individuals with construction experience. Since joining, Mark has been the lead Governor for two of the school’s biggest projects – conversion to an Academy with the formation of a Multi Academy Trust, together with a construction project which builds for the future. Due to the success of the supporting team, Mark has been able to spend significant periods of time on governor duties, typically two days per month plus evenings.

As part of work at the school, Mark is also championing initiatives around safety. Initially Mark has written the school’s first Safe Parking Charter and Composite Profiles has also arranged and sponsored careful driving and parking signs in high traffic school areas.
